Seriously??? you post wedding dress outfits for women over 40, 50, 60, and 70 and put them on models that are 20-30 years of age???? seriously???? Thats the same as using 25 year old models on tv for anti aging creams! its laughable. Life is not about the exterior of a 25 year old woman. get real already!!

I am so sorry if the young models in the picture offend you. But I think we should pay attention to the dress not the models. I think these dress styles all look good on mature women. Being young is not about age, it's about positive attitude and open mind.

It's not just the young models!!! Crying out loud, Effy! If you haven't moved into the 40+ age group, perhaps you haven't been noticing that a great majority of women IN that group have body shapes that are NOT EVEN CLOSE to those of your models. How would these dresses look on larger tummies, thicker arms, etc. So many things change with a maturing body At 65, I am still very petite--4'11.5" and weigh 95-97 lbs--an inch shorter and 10 lbs lighter than I was at my own wedding -- after 5 children!! At my daughters' weddings in my 50s I fit a size 2 that had to be altered to a 1-ish. Now, contemplating a new marriage of my own, I could FIT these form-hugging styles, but most of them don't look "appropriate" for even a sizzling grandma! I am so disappointed! (But don't feel badly, yours isn't the only site I found who did this!) "Dresses for mature brides? All of them matured into Twiggy! LOL)

I agree - the models are ridiculous for trying to convince 60 yos that the dress will suit them. For pete's sake; lets try for real honesty in advertising.

I clicked on here to look for a dress for myself and that's the first thought that came to mind. Why am I looking at young brides in these dresses? Certainly doesn't give me and ideas on what a woman my age should/could be wearing

I came to the site to determine a dress that would look beautiful on my 51 year old sister.... all the models were young... and beautiful. I could have gained a better perspective of how the gowns would look on a mature woman. If the models were in the age group the site advertised for... it could have been very helpful.... disappointed...

Sooooo totally agree that we need to see gowns on senior women AND with fuller figures. Older women are still beautiful, it's not like we've got some horrible disease that means we can't expect to look beautiful and desirable on our wedding day. With the divorce rate so high among the older generation, there's a gap in the market for glamorous 'over somethings' brides. For goodness sake wake up and provide us with a choice of gowns with sleeves and exotic styles. Not all brides want to look like princesses. Give us Cleopatra and other Queenly ideas. Aaaaaargh!

I thought for a change that I would see dresses on models that were my age isn't this supposed to be for brides that are mature with curves and maybe a disproportionate body? Instead you have willowy models who are young. Hey when I was young I had a different body type-isn't this rather an affront?! I tried to overlook this but I cannot.

If you don't know your own body shape, size, or what will flatter you, internet shopping may not be right for you. If you can't envision the dress without it being modeled by someone of a particular age then Internet shopping may not be right for you. I don't see any black, Asian, or handicapped models here either but I do not find it offensive. If you are bothered by the models... just move along. When I got to the bottom of this page and saw the negative attitude you were spewing, it bothered me for a split second. Then I realized, you are a spoiled child. It's the internet. Just click the back button and move along...

It wasnt advertised for black, asians or handicapped people. It was advertise for older brides. I am young and are searching for ideas for my mom and feel exactly the same then all the other people. I have tried to move along, but have the same problem on every other website. Just because it is internet shopping, you are not alowed to use your common sense? If you advertise for older people, then show older people. But hey, you know what they say?! Common sense is not always so common! Thats why you dont know how a spoiled child look like! You are talking about people witj life experience far above what you have!

I might have got into them 30 years ago, but no one asked me to marry me then.. :) :) ... So I think I will have to pass, but thank you anyway.

This was a waste of time. I agree with everyone else—these models are in their 20s, and have straight figures. I’m 40, plus size, large chested, and none of these looks are even remotely suited for a fuller figure.

What a lot of tosh. Agree with all of the above. Why put these styles on young models. Its nothing to do with their beauty any older women will tell you that their figures change with childbirth and time seeing a dress on a younger model does not give an accurate representation of how it will fall on a mature frame. I certainly don't want to go down the aisle looking like a fluffy meringue . I want to look chic mature and stunning none of the above fit this description. You cant stuff an old bird in a dress designed for a 20 something no kids or calories demographic and say that it would suit an older bride. Lazy journalism and not even a nod to canvassing older brides for their opinions.

For peets sake woman give it rest. Dam your on a web site and they can't control the darn photos the venders show, they probably receive a picture with the dress and use that picture. Im a size 12 not that big and not that small. when I see a picture of a woman bigger than me in a dress I don't like the dress.. So all thoughts can go both ways. If your that uncomfortable about the way you look do something about it. I'm almost 50 an I have an imagine in my head how I want to look and I am woking on it. Leave the poor guy alone and see its your insecurities coming out that needs to be worked on. Sensitive dam people .. there is going to be young hot woman all around us for the rest of our life are we going to boycott them as well.
