With summer just around the corner, I want to share with you this one of my very favorite bridal trends of the moment, which couldn’t be any prettier or more perfect for the season – water color wedding dresses! Shades of blush pink, dusty blue, dove grey, and light lavender stand out in an ivory sea. White wedding dresses will be forever classic and timeless, but the colored wedding dress is all that you will need to make the event as unique as you would want it to be. Different from dark shape color, watercolor is more light, fresh and easy to wear. Any brides can look effortlessly stunning in watercolor without trying too hard. Everybody's heads will definitely turn as you march your way to the altar wearing a beautifully designed wedding dress in colored hues.
1. Blush Pink
Say yes to the blush gown! While the classic white bridal gown will always be in style, but pink wedding dresses are the newest thing to hit the town. The girly shade complements any skin tone and can add a little bit of playfulness to your bridal look. Whether you are traditional or an unconventional, any type of bride can rock this color down the aisle. Still hesitate? Try a wedding dress with a tinted underlay, showing the faintest glimpse of color through an ivory skirt.
2. Lavender
The allure of a colored wedding dress has captured my hearts. I adore a lavender wedding dress. It's an excellent choice for women who love sophistication and romance. Lighter shades of lavender can have a bit more blue or lean towards lilac. Find the shade that is the most flattering for your own skin tone and delivers the amount of color saturation you want. If you are still apprehensive, you can stick to classic bridal silhouettes and lighter shades of lavender.
3. Something Blue
Carrying something blue is an old sweet tradition that promises happiness to the bride who does, and modern brides that respect old traditions can go very creative by putting on a blue wedding dress! Whatever color scheme you’ve chosen, blue has a million of shades that fit any appearance type and can suit lots of wedding themes: casual beach wedding, daytime garden party, or rustic country wedding and so on.
4. Mint Green
Mint green wedding gowns have never been as popular as now, and lots of brides and designers get inspired by this shade. This shade looks very breezy and fresh; they fit most of appearance types. You can find gowns of all kinds: slim, A-line, mermaid and so on, with all kinds of necklines: sweetheart, plunging or illusion neckline. Lace and tulle, ethereal flowy gowns with intricate beading, appliques lace and other detailing will charm anyone!
5. Dove Grey
The moment I laid eyes on this color, I fell in love with its tender and delicate hue, a very soft dove grey. Similar to blush or ivory, a grey wedding gown still offers everything bridal but with a little bit more personality. Another bonus, it works great with all skin tones. Would you break away from the traditional to wear something unique like a grey wedding dress on your big day?
6. Daffodil
Daffodil wedding dresses are a great alternative for a modern day bride who wants to express her individuality and personal style. This bright and cheerful color actually seems like a perfect wedding dress choice for a happy celebration and will definitely knock the socks off of your guests and the groom! If you are open to the option of a non-white wedding dress, why not make your something yellow your wedding dress?
7. Floral Print
Soft and subtle watercolor floral print wedding dress makes a blooming beautiful choice for all of you fashion forward brides wishing to avoid the conventional or traditional and really wow on your wedding day. The print instantly makes everything more romantic, ethereal, and feminine, and it works for any theme or venue and naturally, it's especially gorgeous at a garden wedding!
8. Peach
When a bride doesn't want to wear white, but she still wants to look "bridal", she has more options than just blush and gray. Gorgeous, feminine and utterly romantic peach gowns are also a pretty way for girly, chic brides to make a style statement on your wedding day. Peach color is similar to blush pink but brighter and this color is no longer just for bridesmaid.
